Normally, I only get a single boil over which I am able to stop before it actually boils over pretty easily (turn down heat, water spray, whatever). Stopping it isn't the issue. For my last batch, I got my DME from a different supplier than usual and this batch was trying to boil over literally every 5 min until the end of the boil. And I haven't added any hops until the last 15 min.
My question is, is there something about the DME that causes this (too many protiens or something)? Does the number of boil overs affect the final product?
