I have a 15.5 gallon stainless steel pot. I was trying to boil about 6 gallons of water on my bayou classic outdoor propane burner (it's old no way of knowing the BTU). By the end of my brew session the bottom of my pot was completely black with soot, making clean up difficult. Does anyone know how to prevent this from occurring?

Try adjusting your air mixture...should only have blue flame...maybe a little yellow at the tips of the flame.

That makes sense it was my dads old burner and the air mixture piece was definitely no longer functional which gave me one big yellow flame.
