I want to brew a Black IPA next and would love any suggestions! Beersmith files would be greatly appreciated...

The Northern Brewer Lakefront IBA is...ridiculously good. Just tapped that keg last night and I am in love. You can take a look at their site for the recipe. Easily among the best beers I've made.

If you have an IPA recipe you already like... just add a half pound of dehusked carafa III to it.

I really want to try the NB Black IPA kit. On there main page it says a yeast starter is needed but in the directions it doesn't say anything about using a starter. Confused? Does it need a starter?

If you want to keep things simple, use US-05 rehydrated.
