NOTES:
With the research I had done on Pacific Gem hops, after I had already purchased them, suggests this hop variety will give beers a berry-like aroma and flavor. I definitely get it in the flavor but not in the aroma. This is a hop variety from New Zealand but nothing like Galaxy or Nelson Sauvin. Totally different. A lot earthier and since I used only four ounces (mostly late additions), the beer has a moderate hop flavor and is not overboard. They smelled great (dry) but gave me a different aroma after the beer was done and finally poured into a pint glass.

Thanks! These hops sound like they will make a good contribution as part of a team but not so great on their own. I am eager to try mine.

I just ordered 4lbs of hops total, including 2oz each of NZ Pacific Gems, NZ Pacifica, and NZ Nelson Sauvin. I'm wondering what hops the Gems would compliment well in an IPA or Pale Ale.
