Big Mouth Bubbler quality issues

My daughter was going to give me a Big Mouth Bubbler for Christmas, but her local HB store discouraged her. I have now seen some talk about fragile glass ones, but are there any issues with the plastic big mouth bubblers?

It's mostly about glass, but people do mention that the quality of the plastic ones is questionable, with leaks, warping, etc.

I have a plastic big mouth and have zero issues with it. No bubbles in the plastic and the lid seals fine. Granted that's only a sample size of one but I am planning on buying another at some point.

I have had two for over a year now with no problems.

Had a glass one that felt flimsy and I worried about it breaking. I now have two 6.5 gallon plastic ones that work well... No bubbles, no warpage, they seal fine and are easy to clean.

I bought a carry strap for each and think that they are a worthwhile investment.

I have a plastic one and have had no issues. I plan to get a second one soon.

I use a plastic one without any issues so far. I like it better than my carboys and buckets.

The general consensus seems to be that the plastic ones are good, but that the glass ones are malicious bastards that are, as we speak, plotting your demise.

I only use glass carboys, including the 5g Big Mouth.

Have a 6.5 gallon glass one and use it all the time as a secondary fermenter. No issues and would buy another.
