Don't know if this is a good thing or bad. I had intended to buy a keggle from Sabco, but found a place selling used kegs for $15 ea! I couldn't turn it down and bought 6 of them. They are euro. but all even hold pressure and are in great shape.

Any suggestions for a good cleaner to use once I have the tops cut off?

I see how it is. Wants help but is keeping his source a secret. So that's how it's gonna be?

: )

I see no reason you can't clean a keggle the same way and with the same things you clean your current kettle.

Local Distributor that went out of business is the source. He has about 15 Euro style (Spaten) kegs left. I could pick some up for you guys, but be forwarned, the shipping is usually a killer from out here in Idaho...

Getting back to your original question, Sabco states that they clean the kegs inside and out with hot acid. Maybe if you call them you can find out what kind of acid, dilution, and how they do it.
