I just bottling a Pale Ale. I had 5.25 gallons in the Better Bottle, but only 4 gallons made it to the bottling bucket. Not all of it was due to trub, but there was a lot. I know that some wort was lost bc I dry hopped with whole cascades & some was the yeast cake, but how much (trub/yeast cake) loss do others who BIAB average?
I do double-crush the grains. that probably has an effect on the amount.
