Terry, you should try something simple first, but tell us... do you like your ciders Dry or Semi-Sweet? I can give you recipes for both, as can many folks here.

To asnswer your other question, Yes! You can do just 10L in your fermentor, but it's going to be so tasty, you'll kick yourself for not doing more. :)

Got your PM Terry! Well, the dry ciders are the simplest, and easiest to make. Here's a simple recipe:

-5 gallons of apple juice or cider
-2 lbs of one of the following: cane sugar/corn sugar/brown sugar/honey/treacle (sp?) /molasses
(Choose whichever appeals to you, as tastes vary)
-1 cup chopped raisins
-2 1/2 teaspoons of yeast nutrient
-1 packet of yeast, I would use one of the following: Nottingham, K1-1116, Cote de Blanc

Now, remember this is for 5 US gallons, so you'll have to scale down for 10L. Use a whole packet of yeast though!

If you seach around this and other websites, you can find lots of recipes, just spend a bit of time.

Good luck! :)
