So I'm sure this has been asked before but I can't seem to find the thread I am looking for.

I am looking to pickup a spare mini fridge to use as a fermentation chamber until my current four tap kegerator dies on me. Will any 5 cubic foot or larger one work or is there one that most would recommend?

Thanks and Cheers!!

I looked around in there yesterday and all I could find were keezers and two keg fridges. I would like to keep with a fridge, but if I can't find a replacement one I will just go the keezer route.

I have an old (1995 or so) BeverageAir single tap I converted and it fits 4 pin-locks perfectly (with the CO2 outside). You may be able to get one used for cheap, but new they are really pricey (but last forever, as you can see by the age of mine).

The keezer route is probably your best bet for 4 kegs. A temp controller can be easily had for cheap to bring up the temps to fridge levels.

I went with the GE 7.0 CuFt from Home Depot like a lot of others have on here.

+1 on Keezer .. I got mine for $50 and a case of homebrew...works like a charm..(in the basement so we do not need to worry about W.A.F. )

I am not seeing a 4 keg mini fridge being sold right now. You could go with a 4.6 cf mini fridge and add a collar, get a full size up right fridge or go with a keezer. On occasion you may still see some old school kegerators on Craigslist that hold 4 kegs but they don't come up often.

I got my kenmore on craigs list. I was just thinking ahead for when it dies. After looking at prices between freezers and fridges I am going to have to go the freezer route and build a nice 5 tap coffin keezer when the old kenmore finally dies.

thanks for the help and incite

is there even such thing as a mini fridge that holds for cornies? I would think that would be a full fridge.
