My beautiful and wonderful wife, being the beauty and wonder that she is, had a friend secretly ship the following selection of beers. This may not be so great for those of you out there on the west coast, but for this east coast beer guy I can't think of anything better. Methinks this deserves at least two dancing bananas - :ban: :ban:

(for those who don't know, these are [del]all[/del] mostly beers from the acclaimed Russian River Brewing Company. Included in this shipment was one bottle each of Pliny the Elder, Temptation, Damnation, Redemption, Blind Pig, Damnation 23, 2 bottles each of Consecration and Supplication, and one bottle of Eel River's Triple Exultation. Score.)

Damn!!! Wish I had known. I would have bribed the UPS guy to redirect it to my house.

Nice present...I'd say she's a keeper!

Oh, yeah...definite keeper...even better, she'll enjoy these beers as well...wait a minute, maybe that's not even better :p

i have access to all of those (except triple exaltation - never seen it) and that would STILL be one of the best x-mas presents! I love it

Edit: I knew that wasn't a RR beer. You've been fooled! it's Triple Exultation from Eel River :D

Wow...I should have looked more carefully at the label - I just assumed that since it was a "-tion" beer it was Russian River, especially with the metal-looking thingy on the label. I've heard that Eel River is a great brewery as well though - I'll have to check out their website to find out more about this beer! Thanks for the heads-up.

I'm green with envy. I can get none of those beers here in Iowa.

I hear ya - I spent 4 years in Iowa City - not much there in terms of craft beer - of course this was also 15 years ago, so the beer landscape was different too.

Can't wait to try out these beers! :rockin:
