Best b-day gift? Chest freezer!

Well, actually....my wife gave me a large gift certificate for Lowe's to pick out a chest freezer. I am planning on getting a 7 cu. ft. Fridgidaire.
Since there isn't one at the store for measuring, is there enough room for a couple buckets below the compressor bump on the bottom? It is 35" wide and I have a large 14"-wide bucket and planning on getting the 12"-wide Ale Pail. Just don't know if that compressor takes up 9" or more.
