Hello,

First off, I"m extemely new both to here and the hobby.

I JUST brewed my very first batch 3 days ago and it's fermenting now of course.

I apologize if I should've posted this in the Beginner's forum but I figured it was recipe related.

Anyway...I used the True Brew IPA kit for my first batch and am definitely only at the stage of using kits.

I'd like my next batch to be a refreshing lighter style beer with a subtle ginger taste to it since it's so ungodly hot here in ATL.

I know I'd have to add freshly grated ginger to the wort during the last few mins of so of the boil, BUT can someone recommend a good kit that I can do this with please??

Basically, I just follow the kit but then add ginger on top of it.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Aaron

I would go with a blonde ale, or a kolsch if you can do lower fermentation temps. I just did a blonde with ginger that came out pretty good. Not as much ginger as I was hoping for, but still very good.
