In regards to creating an equipment profile in Beersmith2; I have a dead space of approx 2 gallons below my grain bag for my ebiab system and a dead space of under 1 gallon below my faucet. In the section on Beersmith2 does this refer to the space below the grain bed or the space below the faucet? It does not specify, it just says "dead space below filter"
Any help is appreciated as I just finished building this system
 
It really refers to wort that will not be collected in your boil. I have my dead space in my mash tun set to .1 gallon because I tip the tun and don't leave much at all behind. So I would say you need the one gallon below the faucet.
 
This would mean the amount of liquid that you cannot drain from your MLT.
