I have beersmith on my iPad and my Mac desktop. Very new to the program and brewing. Watched the video to figure out how to convert from all grain to extract since that is all I will be brewing for now at least. My question is when converting how do you know what DME/LME to use when converting it. Is there a place to find this or is it one of those you should just know things. I have also thought about just printing the all grain recipe out and taking it to the LHBS and have them help me out converting it.

If you double click on the grain, a window should pop up with all of the properties for that grain. Right at the bottom of that window is a box labeled "When converting to extract, replace this with". That is where you should find it.
