Beersmith calendar

Hello fellows brewers, I was wondering how accurate Beersmiths calendar is? I recently brewed an ale and Beersmith is telling me to rack it to the secondary, only a few days later,about three to be exact. I've read that if you're not going to add fruit or other flavorings,to leave it in the primary for 3-4 weeks. So is beersmith wrong?
