Hi!

I've just released the first version of a new site for creating beer labels free of charge: http://www.beerlabelcreator.com.

The purpose of the site is to make it as simple as possible to generate and print personalized, good looking beer labels in just a few clicks. Right now there are only a few label designs to choose from, but the plan is to add new ones continuously.

Feel free to check it out and let me know what you think. I'll be glad to receive any kind of feedback, good and bad!

Cheers!

Thanks for sharing this, Marcus. Looks very easy to use.

One thought - I find when making my very rudimentary labels, that what looks good on the computer screen does not always look good when printed on my basic home color printer. You might take your designs, print them out, affix them to bottles and put up photos of them.

Are you in Stockholm, Sweden? I take it you are an expat, if you are doing labels in English? In any case, we were in Sweden for six weeks last summer and had a wonderful time. I often wonder about the daily lives of my Swedish acquaintances as the days get shorter and colder - we were there when it was daylight for 20 hours a day.

Cheers and welcome to HBT!

That's actually a very good idea! I'll put that up on my feature list straight away. Thanks for the input.

Yep, I'm in Stockholm, Sweden. I'm a native Swede and not an expat (had to look that word up) but decided to make it an all english site to reach out to a wider audience.

Cool thing that you visited Sweden for such a long time. Summer is really the best time here, unfortunately very short and as you say the days are quickly getting shorter, darker and colder now that winter is approaching.

Take care, and thanks for a nice welcome here at the forum!

Hi everyone!

You might have noticed there hasn't been much going on at beerlabelcreator.com for the last couple of months. But now I'm back with a couple of updates.

The biggest update is that I just recently made all the labels available in different colors. There are still only seven distinct label designs, but all of them are available in somewhere between two and six color themes. Just pick a label design on the start page, and on the next step you'll get to pick a color.

I will try to find time to keep adding more labels every now and then.

I always post news on my RSS news feed (http://www.beerlabelcreator.com/rss/news.rss), and on Twitter (http://twitter.com/#!/BrLblCrtr). Please follow me on one of those channels if you want to know what's going on, since I won't be posting here at the forum that often.

Hope you still find the site useful. Cheers,

Markus

markus - brilliant! i love how easy it is to use the site.

if possible, i would encourage you to add more designs/templates... but i understand this probably takes a lot of time. perhaps offer an incentive: "i will release 1 new label for every X dollars in donations" (sorry, I've been listening to NPR a lot recently, the public radio network in the US - they are currently fundraising in a similar fashion).

a design suggestion: how about something relating to monks, monasteries, stained glass, abbeys, etc? essentially, a label design for belgian-style beers.

keep up the great work!

A few years ago but thought i would revive this thread.Mate i cant seem to get to "http://www.beerlabelcreator.com/rss/news.rss" has it been shut down?
