Beerclause came early this year

This might not be a big deal to some of you, but I've been looking forward to this for a month. Family coming into town for Thanksgiving, and I had them pick up these beers, after looking up they are distributed in their state. We can't get any of these here in Kansas. I've heard such good things about them, and I love IPAs!

Im drinking a Ruination as we speak. Love the Bastard too. The 90 minute is way too malty for me. Its still good but I would rather pick up a 4 pack of Ruination and a 1 bomber of 90 minute, but Im glad that your family is bringing the good stuff.

yep...Stone and DFH are two of my absolute favorite breweries... If you can't get Terrapin Brewing, Victory, or Troegs in your area, you may want to have your family try to get some of those for you too....

u sure about AB cause I'm sure i've seen that here, definitely jealous about the DFH you got, it's not even available in MO

That's awesome you've got family who would stop and buy high-priced (from the BMC drinker's perspective) craft brew and bring it across state lines for you. Sounds like you got something to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.

Now start working on some clones so you won't miss 'em not bring distributed in KS. ; )

Are you sure about this? According to Stone's website, they don't deliver to MO or KS. I'd love to be wrong about this!

Already ahead of you here. My first all grain batch this summer was DFH 60 minute. Never had it before, so I couldn't really compare it. Either way, I ended up with a very solid IPA.

Three of my absolute favorites right there! I never thought about it, but I guess I'm spoiled that they are all offered in this area along with most other popular microbreweries.

Make sure you read the labels of the AB and Ruination -- two of the my favorite labels out there, they always crack me up. The guy at Stone must have a blast writing them, and most of them are worth reading. If your family visits at Christmas, have them look for a Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale as well (it's a black IPA). That one is my new favorite and has a good/funny label as well (not that it matters).

Nice! always great when Beerclaus comes to visit. You should try getting a DFH 120 minute IPA. Had one last year and it was like drinking a beer liquor. really interesting.
