Ive been reading a lot about people's kegerator setups. One person used a radio shack project box to house a fan and flex tube to push cold air up into the tower. Is this really necessary? Do you guys with non-forced-air or non-glycol chilled setups notice that the first beer is warm? I'm not a heavy drinker, so its very likely that I may only drink one beer a night... and that one beer had better not be warm! HAHA! :p

I wouldn't say warm, but...

The amount that sits in the tower usually gets warm, causing that first beer to be foamy but not warm. Doesn't bother me except the wait for the head to settle.

I mainly did it for the "hey that's kinda neat" factor. I'm not sure if it makes any difference or not - don't have any beer in kegs yet to check it with.
