Has anyone created a 70qt Coleman Cooler as a mash tun in Beer Smith? Do you mind sharing the specs? If not do you think I can copy the data from the 10g Gott cooler and just increase the volume? Thanks.

i use that cooler and the specs i use are

mash tun volume: 17.5 gal
tun weight: 16 lbs
material plastic
lauter tun deadspace: 0.13gal

and i preheat with like 130-140 degree water and then set the tun temp in the recipe to 100 and it usually gives me good results

sweet, i haven't bothered setting my colman up yet!

It's a braid that I use. I drained the cooler until i couldnt then dumped the water left and it was about a pint.

Mash tun specs are measured amounts from your setup. The most accurate way to go about it is to copy and rename the closest setup then begin taking measurements of your setup and changing them in the renamed profile. Heat loss would be the hardest to calculate but after a couple of trial runs and making adjustments to that value you should be very close.
