Beer recipe

Hi guys! I have a recipe for an IPA that says to leave it in the primary for two weeks and transfer to secondary for another week. I don't have a secondary. Is this necessary? Can I leave it in the carboy for three weeks?

but yeah I use a secondary myself but some people here say it's a waste..

The only time I secondary is for lagering. You will be fine 3 weeks in primary.

I only use a secondary if I am adding flavors to the beer such as fruit or other extract.

secondary? i remember that term. i think i usta use something like that years ago... 3 weeks in primary, then keg, is my rule
