beer line length question

I have my regulator set at 12...beer is at 4degrees celcius. Pour is SLOOOW. And beer isn't flat but has very little head. Can I be losing co2 from too long of lines? They are about 12 feet of 3/16th.

You could chop a little (1 ft?) off the lines to allow it to speed up some. I have 10 feet at the same temp and pressure and have great pours. How long does it take to pour a pint?

plenty long enough to be carbed... a couple are kegs from when my last kegerator died that had been on gas for months and then stored until this one was finished.

12' is a little long for 12psi. I typically run 14psi on 10' of tubing. I do have one short tap at only 7' of line specifically for ESB or Milds that I typically set to 10psi.

I have mine set between 10 and 12 psi and only 5' lines. Temp is at 35. Works well for me

Hmmmm. I'm currently running 12ft 3/16" lines at 12 psi, 38*F and get nice pours with good carbonation and a decent head. Pours are certainly slower (and softer) than when I had the original shorter (5ft) lines, but I have no complaints.

You don't really "lose" CO2 due to the longer lines. The length and the little bit of give in the line affects the pressure at the faucet. I'd knock a foot off one of the lines and give it another go. Once you get it dialed in to where you like it, then adjust all the lines to match.

ended up at 7 feet.. could probably even go shorter but I am happy with this
