Still slightly new to kegging, been brewing for years, but kegging for last 4 batches. Been force carbonating for 3 days and beer is still flat. Ran it at 20 PSI rolling for first hour, and it's been at 10 PSI for 3 days now at 36 degrees. I know for good carbonation you want to go for a week or so, but I should be seeing results by now. Wondering if I have leaky seals of if I should just wait it out. Thoughts?
Cheers

Get a spray bottle with some star san and test all your connections. My guess is you need a week or so more.

The style of beer and the carbonation level you want should dictate how much pressure you have it under. Most of my ales are at 12-14 PSI for a week after pressuring at 20 PSI for 24-36 hours.

Thanks for the info, sprayed all the fittings with water and PBW mixture, no leaks. It'll get there. I just have to remember to be patient haha

My method is 24 hours at 30 psi and then 1 week at 12-15 psi. Then down to 8-10 psi to serve. Works every time.

I also do the 30 psi for 24 hours then 12 psi for a week after and its always fully carbed by then.

Thanks guys. I have it at 13 right now. And it's going strong. Actually it's an amazing 10 gallon, all grain IPA if anyone's interested in the recipe

I just recently found this site, and I'm still learning the ins and outs, but it seems like a great community. I like all the support.

That's cool, you don't have to post it. I'm not all that interested honestly. Just though you might want to share. I know some craft breweries help produce HomeBrew clone recipes of their beers. Vinnie from Russian River with his Piney the Elder clone is an example. I just brewed that over the weekend. Also if you look at the Recipe section some of the recipes posted have been brewed hundred if not thousands of times by other members here.

Also as you know, the recipe is only part of the equation. The brewers process will effect the final outcome, so if you did give the recipe out, it probably taste similar but not exactly the same.

I'm totally feeling what's behind ^that^ - but I shouldn't, because it really isn't douchey for some aspiring pubster to hold close what he thinks is dear...

Cheers! :)
