Beer Exchange?

anyone think it would be a good idea to get some kind of trade thread going on here? like you send me a sixer of your beer i will send you a sixer of mine and that way we can get honest feedback? a brewer is always the most critical of his own beer

I think this is a pretty good idea. I know the local brew supply store near me does something similar to this once a month. People bring in 3 beers and everyone gets to try something a little different. The Brew Hut in Aurora CO is where I am talking about that does this.

I have never been but I am a NewB and just estatic about being able to brew my own brew. They are also doing a general competition (kind of informal) in January 2011, which I think I will try to hit so I can see what it's like...

If no one is doing this local to you, round up some brewers. I am sure it will take off.

I thnk this is a great idea. I know brew clubs do this but the club I'm at is so big it's really hard to get an informal thing going. I'm in LA so if anyone is interested in swapping bombers let me know.

I know this happens locally with brew clubs and what not, but I just don't see it working out over the internet IMO. High risk of broken bottles during shipping, shipping costs, beers not arriving where they need to go, etc.
