Hey there,
I can't for the life of me figure out how to tell beer alchemy to brew a batch. I have added things in my inventory and when i brew a batch i would like it to automatically deduct the ingredients. I have 2.4 on Mac. Any help would be appreciated!

Like said above, you'll use the "Adjust Inventory" button. Before that you'll need to create a batch under the parent recipe. CMD+B with the recipe you are brewing highlighted.

It’s been over a decade since I’ve brewed. I have my recipes/batches backed up but they are in the old format (plist).
The latest version of Beer Alchemy I have doesn’t use that format, nor does it convert them.
Anyone have any ideas how to convert the old files? Short of digging thru the plists, which I am messing with, but it’s not ideal.

Long story short: if you don't get an answer here, consider cross-posting your question to BeerSmith, BrewFather, and Brewers Friend forums.

Aside: OpenAI has been teasing me with some free GPT 4.0 time. For me and home brewing topics, 4.0 seems to be better at summarizing than 3.5, but it's still statistical "word salid" when it comes to creativity.
