I recently got about a pound of some fresh bee pollen from a local bee farmer. I was curious of peoples experiences with it in brewing. I know I've seen it can use as a natural replacement for some yeast nutrients but I'm looking more on the taste uses.

I used it once back in the late 90's to make a batch that I called Buzz Beer after the beer that was done on the Drew Carey Show, As I remember I put 1/2 lb. to a 5 gallon batch. It had a slight honey sweetness but more of herbal/floral note. The wife loved it .
Good Luck with the experiment.

Do you remember if it turned to mush or if it dissolved into the beer. I got that floral note when just trying it by itself so if it doesn't dissolve maybe I can try dry hopping with it.
