Anyone attempt to harvest Rogue Beard Beer Yeast?
I have a bomber at home sitting in the fridge. I'll wait until someone says that I can or can't harvest it before I drink it.

The Rogue website says they never pasturize their beers so maybe theres a chance I can get some of Maier's beard's yeast to use lol.

Something to think about, a lot of commercial brewerys add a new strain of yeast to carbonate or mask there unique yeast profile. Which I completely understand....it is something that makes each brewery unique.

I do not know if Rogue does this...hopefully someone will have the answer for you.

I've always thought that it's probably just a random brewing yeast, not something interesting and exotic. I have to imagine Maier drinks a fair amount of beer.

I would do it for probably the same reason Rogue did... Just to say there's beard yeast in my beer. Lol

I was just thinking that I can't possibly be the first person to think of this. I know people harvest pacman if they can't get it from their LHBS.
