Im having a hard time getting this 5" probe to read right for my Rims setup. It should be 2 wire hookup but the probes reading 270 @ 55*. Does anyone use this probe with the MYpin TA4?

Do you know what type of temp probe it is and have to set it to the correct type of thermocouple in the pid setup?

Tried all the types.. Also switched wiring.
The only 2 it reads are J and K. They read the same and decline when holding it in my hand.

MY next step would be to find out what type of temp probe you have for sure... it may not be compatible. My guess would be that those are proprietary sensors made just for use with the BC controllers since no other probes work with BCS systems...

Yea.. Its back in the box for return.
I ended up grabbing the Auber triclamp RTD with all the disconnects. Twice the cost but well worth not dicking around anymore.
Thanks for the help.

these are was I used for the quick disconnect feature... same as aubers only without the markup. and they are NOT the triclamp versions without an adapter.

I also have used a few of these and they work fine but have cords hanging from them all the time to get caught on doorknobs if you have to move the kettle for cleaning...
