I am currently in the process of designing a single vessel electric brew in a bag system to replace my single tier three vessel propane system.

I would like to use two of these on the bottom of a 62 qt Bayou Classic Pot for a bottom drain and a temperature probe. https://www.brewhardware.com/product_p/tc15fsf.htm

Has anybody tried to drill through the bottom of these pots before? I can't seem to find a thread related to this. Any help for you guys would be great.

drilling the bottom would be the same as drilling a hole in the side... as long as its not a triclad (I would assume its not) the stainless is very thin and you can use a step bit with a bit of cutting oil and the drill at low speed... it should cut fairly easy. I have 2 of these 62q bayou kettles and drilled 7 holes this way with bits from harbor freight. being the bottom of the kettle is flat there isnt really a benefit over using a diptube so its not commonly done like it is with a flipped keggle.

Hey thanks, my other 3 kettles are kegs so I wasn't sure how the bayou classic models were built. Now onto selling my current brewstand to afford this one.
