Wait, SF Whole Foods? Because I went to the Oakland one on Sunday and they didn't have any, and I can't believe they'd sell out in a day. Then again, I just saw High Westified at my local spot the other day, so is this yet another instance of the east bay distributors being fuckheads?

I thought Fortem was pretty good. Was down in San Jose over the weekend and saw it at Good Karma and ISO: Beers. I probably say it every time I ever discuss the place, but I feel obligated to say ISO: Beers is the worst name for a beer place.

Each to their own. This 4 pack is not my cup of tea.

It's becoming a problem in any beer city on the rise. Sacramento is getting a location very soon too. Is it wrong to want them to fail?

Just looked at Temescal's list. Two pilsners? Really?

Seems like an interesting idea for that Berkeley place. I wonder what kind of bands will play, but I generally like the idea of more live music venues.

I guess if you are going to make more than one of one style, I'd rather it be popsicle beers. "Man this pilsner is crisp and fresh. This other pilsner is...also crisp and fresh" vs. "oh this overly sweet stout has vanilla" vs. "oh this overly sweet stout has coffee." I'll take the latter because I'm not one for subtle differences.

The point I was trying to make is that if you are going to make more than one of a single style, might as well go with something with dramatic variance. I'll just throw out that Pilsner is my least favorite style, behind adjunct lager. Only thing it's in front of is anything with chilies.

Everyone is different, but I would be more likely to go to a brewery for a good pilsner than a mediocre stout.

I'm actually not a huge stout/adjunct stout guy myself so I could go either way with that choice. I guess I'm not one for subtle differences (hence my preference for beer over wine).

Me and beer boxes are taking a slight break at the moment, but perhaps sometime soonish. And to be clear, I would definitely try dat push pop but I wouldn't go out of my way to try it.
