Yeah, maybe. But when the beer sucks, you can always switch to liquor at Southern Pacific.

But don't forget just how many mediocre breweries are in SF! List from Brewer's Guild website:

21st Amendment
Almanac
Anchor
Barrel Head
Bartlett
Beach Chalet
Black Hammer
Black Sands
Cellarmaker
Fort Point
Harmonic
Headlands
Laughing Monk
Local
Magnolia
Old Bus
Pine Street
Pizza Orgasmica
SF Brewing
Social Kitchen
Southern Pacific
Southpaw
Speakeasy
Sunset Reservoir
Thirstybear
Triple Voodoo
Woods

That said, there's a bunch here I haven't tried, and most I've never visited (if they even have a taproom). I usually try local beers at the Beer Week Opening Gala, where I've been generally disappointed in SF breweries.

Fort Point has the best location, right across from Crissy Field with a view of the GG Bridge, but their beer and no taproom make it a no go.

Speakeasy is a fun visit, the new-ish taproom has a cool vibe in a not often visited part of SF.

Harmonic is my favorite on the list. Easy parking, cool location/space. Beers are good, friendly people. Dog and kid friendly. Bring in your own food.

Old Bus has great food. Not sure about beer.

Saturday and Sunday

Friday and Saturday for Moonlight.

Woodfour has a cool spot in an industrial market type setting. The food is very good too.

Henhouse slated to open taproom this spring/summer.. Don't recall where but they are not going to be in Petaluma...next town up iirc.

Henhouse is opening soon in South Santa Rosa. It looks to be a nice taproom. I agree on Woodfour. Not to mention a great patio to chill on.

I'm looking for solid but unsexy, honestly. I've become much, much less picky in my old age. More concerned with vibe than the ridiculously high quality of the beer.
Not sure you'll be, but if you find yourself on the peninsula, The Office in San Carlos might be your jam. Pretty damn tasty food, solid beer list, and tons of TV's for sports.

Jupiter gets no love? I haven't been there in a while and maybe their beer isn't amazing, but the interior is so cozy and nice. Very pub-like.

(No TVs though I think.)
I think Jupiter is way more likely to be stupidly crowded. But both are going to have long waits if you try to go on Friday/Saturday night.

I've never had a drakes beer that I thought was above average at best quality (most being absolute ****), but I've been hearing more and more in the last 6 months+ that some of their beers are actually pretty good coming out.

On the pricey side for wine storage, but not too surprising given that they're actually in the city.

Overheard some folks talking about an event tomorrow at Toronado. What's going on over there? I'm not a regular and it looks like they don't update their social media at all...

Unsurpsingly, no one cares about Red Wine Narwhal bottles at the Torpedo room, I'm one of four people in here. Anything else going on this afternoon in the East bay?
