Toronado 25th

Nothing crazy/unexpected.

Anyone up for Younger at Toronado tomorrow?

Not that you know me, but the GF and I are planning to head that way. I'm not entirely sure what time to line up though... I was going to shoot for 10:45 with the hope that I'm not embarrassingly early or late. We're friendly and easy to spot. She'll be the little blonde loudly complaining about something.

Did the Almanac dinner at Lazy Bear last night, a few thoughts:

1) Holy **** their food is amazing.
2) Almanac is like Rare Barrel in that they're usually not bad, but rarely great.
3) That said, the new DIPA, "Don't Call it Frisco", is legitimately great. Nice and dry, super fruity like citrus/melon.
4) Lazy Bear's new space is very cool, definitely worth checking out.
5) Holy **** their food is amazing.

Yeah, but how's the food?

I really enjoyed that dipa as well. I was not ready for it to be that good lol.

Went to the BA Bigfoot release at Torpedo Room last night after work. Got there at 7:30, hoping to have a taster or 2 before they closed. Ended up shooting to **** for 90 min with SN's cellar master as the place was empty and he was still around. Tawny Narwhal and the blended rye/bourbon Bigfoot are really good.

Found out this yr's BA Bigfoot is actually blended with non BA bigfoot, hence why the barrel presence isn't as pronounced as 2 yrs ago.

Anyone know if there are any events at Toronado on Sunday? I'm trying to scrounge for any leftover bottles of Cable Car and want to avoid potential shitshows.

Leftovers from barleywine festival. Bottles of CC might hang around for a bit after SFBW.

Cool. With my buddy falling through, I'm looking to dome some CC in that dank joint at 11:30am in a corner by myself.

Is there any way to find an updated tap list (for growler fills) at Altamont?

Are they still doing Growler Wednesday specials?

Anyone in need of a ticket for Sau & Brau tonight at 6pm at Drake's at cost ($57.62)? If so, just drop me a msg.

Would also trade the ticket for two bottles of BA Cellarman :)

Oh yes they are. $2 off, but not on their "specialty" beer like Scarrcity or Deep River. Mostly all are, and I love getting my cheap growler fills of Maui Waui or Hop Arsenal when on.

Usually they have updates on their facebook, but if a few days have passed from the last post, expect a beer or two to be out of rotation.

Hit up a few breweries for growler fills today.

Drake's Hopocalypse 2015 is great. I'm glad I skipped the release day (lines!), because they still have Black Label, and boy is it syrupy.

Am I the only one doing bathroom math for SFBW events? I'm avoiding events at any place that has a single bathroom. I eat a lot of protein and sours wreck my stomach, so I think I'm doing everyone a favor.

If anyone is at Toronado, I'm about to leave and have two seats at the bar. Wearing a UA (that's Arizona, Tide fans). Tap me in the shoulder and it's yours.
