Does anyone use the tablets for carbing ? Bottleing my first batch tuesday!

I used the cooper's carb drops a couple times. But the tablets take too many to carb half decent,& aren't 100% sucrose or whatever. I ditched all that for bulk priming. Only cost me about $12 to make a bottling bucket,$8 or $10 for the Fermtech bottling wand & tube.

Tablets are a waste of money. Do what the above guy said. I buy my priming sugar in bulk. Get the bottle wand that is spring loadex so you dont have to worry about drip drip drip between bottles. Buy caps in bulk because there is nothing more annoying than sitting down to bottle after sanitizing bottles and mixing priming sugar with beer to find out you only have 15 caps left. I like to also keep a bucket filled with starsan solution, about 3 gallons or so (always covered so misc things dont get in it). Get a bowl or cup, fill it with a cup of star san and put your caps in. That way you just pull them out and they are already sanitized. Dont throw ALL the caps in...just the ones you NEED for bottling.
Remember...3/4 cup per 5 gallons of beer is the rule of thumb for sugar.

I started this thread back on Jan 7th. I took the advice given here and put a table lamp under a table in the basement, but the beer on covered with a towel to hold the temp steady. Had a thermometer under there as well and I was able to keep it at 70 F.

It worked ! Popped a couple last night and they were awesome!

Thank you everyone!
