I recently purchased an SS unitank and I’m using it for the first time. I have a 5 gallon batch going currently and I just realized I need another tri clamp to barb fitting to do my pressure transfer.
The out post connector on my keg appears to be 1/4 inch barb. Do I need need to use a 1.5 tc to 1/4” barb for the pressure transfer? That just seems like a really small size.
Also, do you guys disconnect your hoses from your barbs every time to clean? Or do you clean then as they are with the hose connected? It seems that If I disconnect any of the hoses from the barb, that portion of the hose is ruined, or at least looks rough.
Is there a better way to go about all this? I’m a new all grain brewer and this is the first time I’ve used the tank and will be the first time I’ve ever kegged.
