Just wondering if anybody has one... Just picked one up from the store today. I already have 2 square patio cookers and like them alot. Went to 2 different lowes and home depots and all they had was the 20 psi double jet cooker. Seems alot sturdier tan the patio stoves. Was just wondering about propane consumption.

FWIW and there will certainly be others who disagree vehemently, I cannot recommend that type of jet burner whether it is a single or a double. They tend to concentrate the heat in one spot too much and they don't burn efficiently. I really prefer the 6" cast ring type burner. If you really want to pour on the coal, the Hurricane and Banjo burners are essentially just much larger versions of the six inch one. The only problem with those is even at very low settings they put out a huge amount of heat. Sometimes more than you want if your are using it for the mash tun. The one you bought will work, but I would consider returning it and stepping up a notch to something like a Bayou Classic SQ-14. They only run about $50 or so. A good value and the stand is substantial. Not very tall though, so consider that if it's an issue.

Thanks... that's what i was thinking when i bought it. I already have 2 of the sq-14"s and was very happy with them. I wanted a third burner for my brew pot. I'm gonna say **** it and give it a try just for full boils and see how it goes. My main concern was scorching and efficiency of propane. If it doesn't work out I'll take it back. I'll keep you posted.

Any update to how the double jet burner worked? Also saw this at Lowe's and thought it would be great for a full boil, but Catt makes a good point regarding heat concentrate and burn efficiency.
