B500K Pot question

So I have a 40a SSVR that is coming in the mail.. the fotek china one. It says control signal is 500k ohm 1/4W pot. Would a guitar B500K pot work? it says they are rated for 1/2 watt

Whats a B500K?

If you mean a 500K Pot, then no, probably not - It's the difference between 500 and 500,000 - which is quite a bit.

Usually the SSVR's come with the pot, maybe you'll get one with it!

Yes - I knew that - but misread it.

Put an ohm meter across the outside leads of the Pot, if its around 500K ohm, then use it.
