Anybody in the San Diego area, there is a lady and her husband who are going out of business and have some huge SS pots / tanks for sale. Another HBT'er and I are grabbing the 10gal, 22gal and 32gal pots, but they still have the following:

All stainless steel:

50 gallon - $50
65 gallon - $85
110 gallon - $120
150 gallon - $150
320 gallon - $320

Let me know if you are interested, I have their number.

Wow, I would love that 65 gallon pot, any way I could get that shipped up to Portland?

I could be interested in 3 of the 50gallon pots if you're at all interested in packing and shipping. PM me and we can discuss....

Do you have any details on the pots? Are there lids? dimensions? thickness? etc.
:)

Maybe Brian and I could go in on an order. :) That 110 is pretty appealing, too.

Gallons or Quarts? :D

320 gallons = 3-1/2 ft diameter X 4-1/4 ft tall

Edit: They have to be worth more than that in scrap metal!

I picked up the 10 gal and 22 gal for myself today, and man o man do I wish I was making enough to be a micro brewery. Those bigger pots are HUGE! They're like deep jacuzzi's. He said the 320 gal one was a good $2,000 - $3,000 new.

The 50gal pots do have lids, which he's adding like $5 to the price for. It's amazing, $50 and I walked out with a 10 gal and 22 gal with lids. Not sure the thickness, but he's used them a lot and is real big on using SS for everything. He used to make some kind of international high end brand of lotions and creams for resorts, etc.

I personally don't have anything to pick that size up in, as my SUV is out of commission until I fix the A/C bearings. Here's the craigslist add, contact him and see if he's willing to ship. He's still got all sorts of sizes available, just not 10 gallon ones.

FYI: He also has a burner that he custom made to support a -full- 50 gallon tank that he's selling too. Additionally, he has a heat stick that will help to make the full 50 gallons boil quicker than his home stove makes 1 gallon boil (or so he says).

Just sent you a PM, but I would love to grab the 65 - two if they had em.

cheers.

Just tried the link andthat posting is expired. Can someone give me the phone number so I can talk to the person selling the pots? Thanks

No phone, but I emailed with them quite a bit: nanadeer at sbcglobal dot net
They seemed to be pretty eager to unload their stuff, and would only accept wire transfers as payment (unless you're local).

Not to TC...but the "only accept wire transfer" coupled with the "if it seems too good to be true it probably is" lesson my dad taught me as a kid would make me VERY suspicious of this deal. Even more so since the OP (like myself) has only been a member for a couple months.

If it's a great deal fantastic, but DO NOT wire money. Use Paypal or something else. I'd hate to see anybody get taken on here because there are so many great, helpful members.

Well, they're officially out of kettles. I bought the last one this morning. $85 bucks for what turns out to be a 54 gallon stock pot. It's super solid, came with a 3/4" NPT outlet and plug and is perfect. Thanks for the OP!
