I brewed up my autumn amber ale extract kit from Midwest brewing today. This will be my third batch of beer I have completed. I did a three gallon boil on my electric stove. I could do it faster on a turkey fryer burner for sure, but on high with three gallons, I get this beautiful rolling boil and don't have to worry about boil overs in my five gallon pot. Rehydrated the Munton's dry yeast and pitched it.

After a previous thread of mine, I decided to get a starting gravity, 1.040. Directions say that it should be just a tad higher than that, 1.042, but it is what it is.

Anyways I put it in my 6.5 gallon glass carboy with a blow off tube in some sanitizer and water.

I should have taken more photos, sorry.

Thanks for looking, advice and critiquing is always welcome. I am still new to this.

Looks good! My thoughts are to protect it from light if you aren't already, and also to ask if you are thinking about temps. I don't know where you are but it's reading 86 deg today in my house. Temp control, even if it's just in a makeshift swamp cooler, can play a big factor in the quality of your beers.

Well you can't see it in the picture but that is my walk in closet. I have a thermometer above it to show room temperature. I control the air duct vent in there and it does a pretty good job of keeping it 65-70F in there all the time.
