I see that Austin Home Brew is having a decent sale on some of there kits, 20% off with free shipping. I haven't had any of the kits that are on sale and wanted to see it anyone would suggest one from experience. I am open to any kind of brew, so any suggestion would help me make the decision.

Thanks!!!

I asked about their pumpkin ale a while back but got no response. I ordered it anyway and plan to brew this weekend. I have generally read on here positives about AHS. I guess I will find out soon enough.

It all depends on your taste. Some people prefer one or two styles. I like most styles and I do recipes so, often, I look around often for something I haven't already tried. I have never done one of their kits but would not hesitate. Pick something new and go for it!

I went ahead and bought the stout and IPA kits which are on sale. Pretty good deal. Get 2 kits for $72. My local brew shop would have charged that much or more for an IPA kit. I see a lot of brewing in my near future : ))

well if you're still interested in feedback, I made a few of their kits all really good. They're sweet stout is ridiculous good. I brewed that like a year ago and ppl are still asking me to brew that one

Used them to save $$ on a Janet's Brown ale kit. I have washed WLP001 already, and they offer a partial mash option, which is pretty huge for me. Given what my LHBS charges for hops (there are 8 ounces in this recipe, LOL) it simply did not make sense for me to assemble it myself. That said, I can't wait to get a mash tun built in order to do 5+ gal AG and also start buying hops in bulk.

I am curious to see how their stout kit is. I have brewed the Brewers Best kit and that was very good. Right now it is a toss up between the Oktoberfest and the stout. Or, better idea, get them both, more beer for me. Anyway, thanks for the suggestions and cheers!

I just ordered the Belgian Quad kit... We'll see how it goes, but It's going to be quite a while before I can offer any opinions on it.

Are we talking the extract, partial extract or all grain kits? Was thinking about the all grain kits, never done any kit before so was curious.
