Are there US readymade systems?

Browsing some of the British brewing forums I see a lot of folks using electric boilers like these:

Is there anything similar in the USA? Could one be modified to use over here?

Looking further I see them building boilers with elements from little tea kettles (!)? How does this work when every system I see built here is using massive water heater elements?

That one from the UK is most likely a 240VAC unit, so I would say you could run that in the US. I forget now if the UK is 50Hz or 60Hz, wouldn't matter for resistive heating elements, but the control system power supply might not like it if it is linear mode rather than switched mode. I had not seen a plastic vessel used for boiling like that before.
