Aquarium Air Pump

What are the pros and cons of using an aquarium pump versus an O2 pump? I've seen numerous references to making sure the wort is oxygenated enough prior to pitching yeast but I've only been letting it splash when going from kettle valve to fermenting bucket. I found a pump for about $5 ($17 with tubing and stone). Would this pump be useful for getting oxygen in the wort?

Takes longer than pure O2 and you should use a filter inline but it definitely does the job.
