FAJC, if added correctly, will be just like priming sugar with maybe some added apple flavor. No bottle bombs. I still have some Brew Craft Apple and Apricot flavoring, and both work very well in cider. When I get ready to bottle, I do use FAJC,and both the Apple and Apricot flavors to balance the cider. If you haven't tried Apricot flavoring in cider before, I am amazed at how the Apricot brings out the Apple flavor, and it doesn't take much either. I bottled a batch back in June, and opened one last night to get my SHMBO's opinion of this relatively high proof batch. It was a little bland in the Apple, and a little alcohol hot. I used ten drops of apricot in a 4 oz sample, and it was amazing. I then added 5 drops of Apple flavoring, and tasted again, right on the money. I have learned from past experience to add the Apricot first, and then add the Apple. Otherwise, it seems to me, it takes a huge amount of Apple flavor to get the Apple flavor back.
EDIT:ten drops of Apricot flavoring in 4 oz of Cider is, 1.7 ounces in five gallons. How did get that number? 5 gallons is 640 ounces, 1 mL is 30 drops, and there are 30mL in 1 ounce. Therefore, 640 / 12 = 53.3 mL, and 53.3 / 30 = 1.7 ounces. Granted, this is the way I flavored mine and, YMMV.
