I'm trying to get my hands on a harbor freight drill. I called them 3 times to get a shipping quote to Canada and I still can't get an answer, lousy customer service.

So...is anyone willing to ship one to my door in Canada ? I will obviously pay in advance for both shipping (but I want USPS for the shipping to Canada, UPS and fedex rape us with ridiculously high brokage fees)

I feel your pain where the shipping is concerned, same here in Alaska
Cheers and good luck

Don't try to call them. Order the drill online. When the order process gets to checkout get the estimated shipping cost, then decide what to do. You will probably do better on Amazon.com with free shipping.

Fraud alert !!! Do not ever buy any power tool or engine from harbor Freight . JUNK JUNK JUNK . Power tools are cheap for a reason . they have plastic gears in them and last about long enough to pull the trigger . engines are crap . Generator I bought lasted all of 3 minutes before it froze up .
do yourself a favor and go to home depot or where ever and buy name brand . cost a bit but well worth it .
I have been shopping in that store for many years as it is right down the street . they have some good stuff but not power tools . You would be better off buying a cheap sears black and decker drill .

I have to agree that harbor freight tools just aren't worth the money. IMO tools are an investment. But this is only true if you buy a quality tool. I agree that you would be much better buying from Amazon and making 1 purchase that will last instead of buying a disposable tool. Just my 2c

I tried ordering it online but there's no option to ship outside of the us hence my 3 phone calls to them. Amazon and free shipping does not exsit in canada ! Besides, i can't find this drill elsewhere. I know it's super cheap but i don't wanna pay 150-200$ for a makita/dewalt version.

It's a high torque low speed drill by the way !

You guys are right....i'll buy a good one at home depot instead. I've got 2 drills here but none of them can crush grain at slow speeds so that's why i want a spade handle mixing drill

I went to home depot and bought a Millwaukee http://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauke...Only-2410-20/202196518?N=c5wkZzv#.UlivRtKRDxA
I got the kit with the case , charger and an extra battery , flash light , on sale . It is not the best made drill out there but it grinds grain and does not run out of juice or power . Not the best drill they had but it was on sale at a great price and was a great buy.
Very good investment . I use it also for drilling and such on my big rig and around the house . very happy with it .

Look for a sale at home depot . You will get a much better deal if you just wait till the right time . Plus you will get what you order and no cheap cheap and no problem on returns if you do have a problem with the tool .

Just a note on HF . I bought this 20 dollar drill flashlight kit from them because I needed a drill quickly . It did last for a while even though it was very cheaply made . But the charger did not auto shut off ( something they do not tell you ) and it burns up the battery pack if you do not unplug it when charge is done and also will blow up the pack as it gets extremely hot when left on too long . got my 20 out of it I guess but would not buy another one for any reason .

Well so far i've been crushing with my makita 18v li-ion but it takes two batteries for the batch and the drill gets very hot so i'm afraid of burning it. That's why i was looking for a low speed drill

My other drill is a corded hammerhead but it spins way too fast

does your makita not have a variable speed trigger ? Are you running it on the low or high setting . the fast setting is not good for grinding because of the load on drill motor . Use the slow setting .
If it uses two batteries to grind a little grain then perhaps what you need is new batteries . but the price of them batteries is about enough to make you buy a new better drill.
I have a 9 volt makita that I have been using for many years and have put it through the ringer grinding and drilling .. I have it hooked up to a 12 volt car battery now and have for quite a few years and it never gets hot .

I use my millwakee and a barley crusher and it only takes a minute to grind up a batch of grain and that does not even tax the battery .
