Can't help with the MoreBeer but the Hach Pillows definitely do have an expiration date. Check the label carefully and you'll find it.

I don't have them. Trying to decide what to buy. What is the expiration date usually? I'd guess more than 3 months.

Yes, it's more than 3 months but not all that long. I have some with me but they are in a 50 mL centrifuge tube, not the box they came in so I can't check. Now I generally ignore the expiration date on the pillows because the powder is sealed away from the atmosphere unless I am doing some work that's going to be published.

Here is a pic of the label on the latest box I bought. According to the code it was made on May 05, 2015 and exp is May 2017.
Wait a minute.. I ordered this from Amazon in 06/2017
Figures.

This isn't food or an eyewash bottle. I wouldn't worry too much about buffer expiration dates unless you absolutely need to know pH to the 0.01 unit, or you are a professional operation that requires traceability.

$6.89 for the two solutions is really cheap but 50 pillows that last 2 years I think is the better deal. Plus I know Hach is a well known company for this type of product.

I think so and I would have no qualms in using them for 3 or even 4 years except for 'research' mode measurements. But heed the message from Bilsch and get them directly from Hach.
