I can't tell which one that is, but google homebrew conical fermenter and you will get a ton of results. There are a lot of options for 7-15 gallon SS conicals.

funny how advertizing them as different sizes throws people off...


I have the 12.5 gallon version bought from ebay through stout and it works very well.

even the ss brewing conicals are china made.... all these brand names are mostly nothing more than "distributers " who buy in bulk and double to triple thier money selling them and "supporting" them...

there is one conical company I found that actually american made !!!

I dont even think blichmann ferminators are made here but I could be wrong.

Blichmann conicals are made in USA from US sourced 304SS. I know, I worked for the company. Hundreds & hundreds of hoppers.

Good to know.... You must have made some big bucks there with the prices they charge...

figured they might be "assembled" here from domestic and foriegn components like Harley does now days... But even those guys on the assembly line make over $33 an hour to assemble and paint them. (likely much higher now since I had read that about 8 years ago)

I have the 6.5G one exact one. Its garbage... Do yourself a favor and dont buy it... the seal at the top after a while will cut up and deform and the metal is very thin. The welds also have shown some rust

Blichmann did their own polishing and assembly, we just produced the cones (lids, and some pot blanks) for them. Because they bought in bulk, they were able to negotiate a good price. You didn't want to buy 1 from ua direct; THAT was expensive.

As for the "stout" conical, I was sent one to evaluate. Compared to what I was used to, the ONE I looked at shiny but welds were junk. Again, just the one I saw, may have been a "scratch and dent" unit.

I hate to burst your bubble but from the ones I have held and compared...the gauge of stainless used in this fermenter is thicker than both the SS brewing and Im pretty sure the fermentator Conicals as well... I ordered SS brewing Conicals for a friend and while they are nice the sealing system on the top is not without its faults... he ruined a seal on its second use.
I wasn't even aware stout had them made that small? The smallest I have seen them offer is 7.3 gallons? How long ago did you purchase this. I only have the 12.5 gallon one but its thickness is closed to my keggle... its certainly much heavier and thicker than my stainless kettles.

Yes I heard the welds were terrible in the beginning... mine are polished and clean.I have made over 40 gallons of beer in mine so far with no sealing issues or infection problems.
I even accidentally knocked the lid off from a hieght of 7 feet not realizing it was laying on top and it did not damage it. It did however put a nice ding in my old linolium floor

Mine isnt a Stout one... Its some sort of Chinese conical... I thought the above conical that the OP showed was identical to mine, however on closer inspection it looks like the thermometer is a welded fitting. Hard to know though...

Mine is garbage though... I can post pictures of that for comparison if I can find the pictures
