Hey newbie here with probably another easy question but does anyone know what this is? This is probably my 4th inmate style brew and this pulpy foam has appeared on top. Its been fermenting for about 5 days and the head started on the second day. Is it from the yeast nutrient i used or is it the pulpy fruit that was in the juice thats risen to the top?
Any advice would be good..cheers!

If it is really a concern, you can slightly jostle the carboy to break up the krausen and get it to fall down into solution. I've noticed krausen much more with ale yeast than any other type of yeast. Its a normal part of brewing but freaked me out the first time I saw it.

Carboy, lol.

I'm thinking that's a minute maid bottle.
