I would like to make an estimate of how many gallons of beer I have fermenting in my new 6 gal BB. I thought if someone had a picture of theirs with gallon markings on it, I could make a pretty good guess. Anyone?

Thanks...

I took a 1 gallon pitcher and and started filling the BB one gallon at a time. Just throw a line at each gallon mark with a Sharpie or other marker. The 6 gallon mark is about an inch below the neck of the BB.

+1 on Whiskey's post... I did the same on my glass carboys... Guess-tamations are ok, but I would spent the little time it requires to DIY...

Good luck

I should have explained that I put a batch it it already and I want to estimate how much beer I have in it now (its only my 2nd AG attempt - 1st time at 5 gal batch size). I will definitely do the 1 gal graduations accurately myself once its empty.

I filled both my 5 gal and 6 gal better bottles up in .5 gal increments using a growler and my 5 gal line for the 5 gal better bottle doesn't match the 5 gal mark in the picture.

Anyone else have this problem?
