I'm about to transfer my IPA to secondary and have a hickory honeycomb that I want to age it in. How long should I age it and how long should I dry hop? I've heard only dry hop for a week or it starts to smell grassy instead of the hop aroma I'm looking for

I have a hickory smoked ale and I plan to age it on some toasted hickory chips. I plan to do it the same way as I would oak, taste it x2 a day and leave it sit 12 hours past where it tastes perfect. This should let it age to the perfect range.

As you are doing an IPA I would toast the hickory and toss it in with the oak. When it tastes right proceed to bottle/keg.
