I guess I am not a real brewer, as I don't have a smart-phone, much less a brewing system that can hook up to one.

Why? Seems like a bunch of extra information I wouldn't need. I'm pretty sure of my current fermentation temp. I'm sure I'll be kegging it in three weeks or so. I then can calculate ABV from my og and fg.

I'm thinking, beer bonging home brew?, don't think I've seen that thread before.

Anyway, some may buy it but it seems a bit pricey for my needs. To each their own though! Anyone on here have one?

So it's $200 and doesn't actually control anything? I'd rather spend the money on a temp control unit that woud do something with those readings. I really don't know why I would need up to the minute OG measurements. Pass.

Pretty neat little tool, but a little pricey for something that can be manually determined for little effort. Nonetheless if money was no object I'd probably have one!

Very pricey for very little usefulness. I would also need at least 2 maybe more of them since I often have multiple beers and wines fermenting at the same time. Even if I was independently wealthy I doubt I would buy one. It is just a lot of information that I don't really need to know.
