I did a search on 5.2 and found either nothing or to much.

Anyone? My LHBS only has 1/2 of the chems I need BUT not have 5.2

A buffer is a combination of a weak acid (low pH) and a weak base (high pH). When you add acid to the solution, the base prevents the pH from dropping, when you add base, the acid keeps the pH down. It works because the acid & base are very similar to each other (conjugate).
