I have a batch of bottles which have been soaking for over a week in iodophor (diluted). Is there any risk of off flavors, etc., or is glass completely impermeable?
Thanks!
C.

I would resanitize the bottles. Iodophor isn't good after about a day when its in an open container.

I was going to say the same thing. I asked this same question when I started brewing because i read somewhere that vet-hospitals use iodphor during surgury and they use a longer soak (like 10 mins maybe?). So I thought longer meant better sanitation.

But like MikeinAK and others stated already...the iodophor is only good for a short time. Don't try to keep it around for weeks, the pros suggest two minutes of exposure...I go with about 5...
